One of the oldest and largest gay bars (18,000 square feet under one roof) in the country, The Bar Complex hosts nightly drag shows and has even earned its own historical landmark. Travelers staying downtown can choose from a variety of included hotels (like the 21c Museum Hotel) and will be in the heart of what’s affectionately known as the “Fruit Loop” – a walkable circuit of bars, venues and clubs that cater to the LGBTQ+ crowd. Crowne Plaza HY36 will also host a series of drag brunches throughout June and serve lively cocktails including BennyDeLaCrem, Jiggles Caliente and SilkyNutmeg. Īdditionally, Crowne Plaza HY36 will donate $10 for each package booked to the Ali Forney Center, a New York-based nonprofit organization that protects LGBTQ+ youth from homelessness and empowers them to live well. The package includes two Pride-themed cocktails at the hotel’s Burgerology restaurant and a welcome bag filled with all the Pride necessities and treats like sunscreen, glitter and of course a Pride flag.
